Planning & Scheduling Engineer

About the role

The Planning & Scheduling Engineer will develop, monitor and control project schedules for major transportation infrastructure projects in a Project Management Consultancy environment. The role supports delivery teams by ensuring effective planning, progress measurement and performance reporting throughout the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed Primavera P6 schedules, baseline plans, WBS and execution plans.
• Monitor progress against baselines, analyse variances, and prepare corrective actions and recovery plans.
• Coordinate with engineering, procurement, construction and commercial teams to align schedules and ensure contractual compliance.
• Support schedule risk analysis, Monte Carlo simulations and contingency planning.
• Prepare progress reports, dashboards and management presentations, and assist with earned‑value assessments.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related discipline.
• Minimum 15 years of planning and scheduling experience on major roads, highways, bridges and transport projects, preferably within a PMC.
• Professional certification such as PMI‑SP, PSP, PMP or AACE is highly desirable.
