Senior Government Affairs Specialist

About the role

The Senior Government Affairs Specialist will lead 51Talk's engagement with Saudi government bodies, ensuring the company’s operations align with national policies and leveraging public initiatives to expand its online education services. This role requires a deep understanding of Saudi regulatory environments across education, technology, investment, and data protection.

Key responsibilities

• Establish and maintain long‑term relationships with ministries such as MOE, MISA, MCIT, and HRSD, representing the company at meetings and industry seminars.
• Track, collect, and analyse Saudi laws and policy trends; produce analysis reports and advise management on business impact.
• Ensure compliance of marketing, product, and operational activities with local regulations.
• Support business units in integrating government‑led initiatives, guiding tender, qualification, and licensing processes.
• Provide internal training and consultation on the Saudi policy environment and coordinate responses to government inquiries.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher from a recognized Saudi or international university; preferred majors: Public Policy, International Relations, Law, Business, or Education.
• Minimum of 3 years experience in external affairs or government relations, specifically working with Saudi ministries and public institutions.
• Proven ability to interpret regulations and develop strategic recommendations for senior management.
