Senior ICU Registrar – Makkah

About the role

The Senior ICU Registrar will provide high‑quality care to patients admitted to the Intensive Care Unit at NMC Hospitals and Clinics in Makkah. This role requires adherence to evidence‑based medicine, professional ethics, JCIA standards and Saudi Ministry of Health regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver patient care within the scope of clinical privileges for both in‑patients and out‑patients.
• Conduct regular ward rounds, develop multidisciplinary treatment plans and document patient management accurately.
• Prepare discharge summaries, death reports and special reports as needed.
• Assist consultants with diagnostic and therapeutic procedures and supervise junior staff.
• Participate in departmental education, training activities and on‑call rotations.
• Assess and refer patients to appropriate facilities and handle emergency consultations.
• Maintain patient confidentiality, security and privacy while ensuring complete and timely medical records.

Required profile

• Medical degree and valid registration to practice in Saudi Arabia.
• Experience working in an Intensive Care Unit setting.
• Familiarity with JCIA standards, Ministry of Health regulations and hospital by‑laws.
• Ability to supervise junior medical staff and collaborate in multidisciplinary teams.
• Commitment to continuous education and adherence to professional ethics.
