Senior Legal Counsel

About the role

Cenomi Retail, a leading multi‑national retailer operating over 1,600 stores across the Middle East, is seeking a Senior Legal Counsel. The role provides practical, commercial legal advice, drafts and negotiates agreements, manages legal risk, and supports the Director of Legal, Governance & Compliance on corporate and compliance matters.

Key responsibilities

• Provide commercial legal advice to business units.
• Draft, review and negotiate commercial agreements independently.
• Identify legal risks and propose practical mitigation strategies.
• Manage external counsel engagements when required.
• Support corporate governance and compliance initiatives.

Required profile

• 5–8 years post‑qualification experience, preferably in a reputable law firm or multinational company.
• Strong ownership, accountability and highly organized, proactive work style.
• Ability to prioritize effectively in a fast‑paced environment.

Required skills

• Strong drafting and negotiation skills.
• Ability to review and negotiate commercial agreements independently.
• Sound legal research and analytical capabilities.
• Experience managing external counsel.
• Excellent written and verbal English.
