Senior Manager / Manager, External Audit – Banking (Riyadh)

About the role

PwC Middle East's Assurance practice is recruiting an Audit Manager or Senior Manager in Riyadh to manage a portfolio of banking clients. You will oversee the full audit lifecycle, work within a team of experienced auditors and advise clients on financial reporting and regulatory developments.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of clients, handling day-to-day client liaison and technical issues
• Contribute to business development and maintain strong client relationships
• Design the audit strategy and manage audit execution in line with the engagement leader's guidance
• Deliver large projects on time and advise clients on financial reporting and regulatory changes
• Present to boards of directors and audit committees and ensure compliance with risk, quality and independence matters
• Coach and mentor team members and promote digital audit tools and alternative delivery models
• Take part in candidate interviews and selection

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or a related field
• 6-10 years of professional experience in external financial audit, preferably with a Big 4 firm
• Recognised professional qualification such as ACCA, CA, ACA or CPA
• Experience auditing banking or insurance clients is an asset
• Bilingual Arabic and English (oral and written) is a plus

Required skills

• Strong project management and audit management from planning to completion
• Application of International Standards on Auditing (ISA) and in-depth IFRS knowledge (e.g., IFRS 9, IFRS 17)
• Knowledge of audit technologies and data analytics tools is a plus
