Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

About the role

The Senior Mechanical Design Engineer will provide technical expertise across multiple projects, delivering innovative design solutions while adhering to best practices, regulatory requirements and project specifications.

Key responsibilities

• Follow departmental processes, policies and SOPs to ensure controlled and consistent work.
• Evaluate and monitor KPIs related to engineering design, maintaining design schedules and resources.
• Address and escalate RFIs and technical queries to ensure accurate designs.
• Develop and update detailed design plans, utilizing VDC and BIM tools.
• Review schematic designs for compliance with project vision and specifications.
• Collaborate with architectural, structural and other engineering disciplines to integrate designs and perform QA checks.
• Research local and global regulations, maintain ISO compliance and obtain necessary certifications.
• Contribute to continuous improvement, sustainability initiatives and safe, environmentally‑responsible practices.
• Prepare timely reports to meet departmental quality standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
• 0‑4 years of relevant experience, preferably in the EPC industry.
• Fluent in English; Arabic language knowledge is a plus.
• Professional certifications such as AutoCAD Certified Professional or Certified Quality Engineer are desirable.
