Senior Medical Science Liaison – Nephrology (Jeddah)

About the role

The Senior Medical Science Liaison (Nephrology) will act as a scientific bridge between Vertex and the medical community in Saudi Arabia. You will build and maintain trusted relationships with key opinion leaders and health‑care professionals, ensuring timely, ethical dissemination of clinical and scientific information about Vertex’s nephrology portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and nurture relationships with thought leaders and a broad network of IgAN care providers.
• Apply the Scientific Engagement Model (SEM) to enhance interaction quality and relationship depth.
• Integrate the medical plan into territory planning, capture feedback in the CRM, and inform internal strategy.
• Utilise CRM and data‑analytics tools for timely documentation and to optimise future engagements.
• Communicate scientific data and product information compliantly at an advanced level.
• Provide insights on regional payer dynamics and their impact on patient care.
• Represent Vertex at medical congresses, manage abstract/session coverage, and deliver post‑event debriefs.
• Perform all administrative duties, including CRM entry, mileage, expense reporting, and training assignments, in line with Vertex policies.

Required profile

• Saudi nationality.
• Proven ability to meet goals within set timeframes.
• Strong understanding of payer systems and their influence on care delivery in the region.
• Excellent scientific communication skills with external stakeholders.
• Experience engaging thought leaders and managing medical congress activities.

Required skills

• Proficiency with CRM systems.
• Experience using data‑analytics tools for interaction tracking and planning.
