Senior MEP Engineer – Public Health & Firefighting

About the role

WSP is looking for a highly experienced MEP Engineer to lead the design and delivery of Public Health and Fire Fighting systems on a major development project in Riyadh. This senior position offers the chance to shape technical solutions, mentor junior staff, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across all project phases.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design, coordination and integration of Public Health and Fire Fighting systems throughout the project lifecycle.
• Conduct high‑level design reviews to ensure compliance with local and international codes, safety standards and project specifications.
• Provide technical analysis, problem‑solving support and value‑engineering recommendations.
• Collaborate closely with architects, structural engineers and other MEP disciplines to deliver integrated solutions.
• Review and validate drawings, specifications and calculations for PH & FF systems.
• Monitor design progress, ensure timely high‑quality deliverables and mentor junior engineers.

Required profile

• Minimum 15 years of MEP engineering experience with a focus on Public Health and Fire Fighting systems.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services or related field; Master’s degree or chartered status preferred.
• Proven experience in high‑level design reviews and technical problem solving.
• Strong communication, coordination and stakeholder‑engagement skills.
• Familiarity with Saudi building codes and civil‑defense requirements.
