Senior Presales Engineer

About the role

A Senior Presales Engineer is sought to support the sales cycle through technical expertise, business analysis, solution design and proposal development. The role covers RFP, RFI, RFQ and tender work via Etimad and other channels, with strong exposure to Saudi government and enterprise projects. It involves turning customer requirements into tailored technical and commercial solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Engage with clients to understand their business, technical and operational needs and build value propositions
• Analyse RFPs, RFIs, RFQs and tender documents, check compliance with Saudi government procurement rules and manage clarification cycles and proposal submissions
• Write technical proposals, scopes of work, compliance matrices, presentations and supporting documentation, and support BOQs, effort estimation and pricing
• Position solutions across software quality engineering, testing and automation, Atlassian (Jira), DevOps, observability, ITSM, SDLC/STLC and managed services
• Deliver presentations, demonstrations and POCs, and communicate technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences
• Work with Sales, Delivery, Finance, Vendors and Management, coordinate vendor quotations and licensing, and hand over approved scopes to delivery teams
• Stay up to date on Etimad and Saudi tendering practices and on developments in DevOps, ITSM and application monitoring

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Software Engineering or a related field
• 5+ years in presales, solution engineering, proposal management or a similar client-facing technical role
• Extensive experience with RFPs, RFIs, RFQs and tenders via Etimad, and with Saudi government and enterprise projects
• Strong proposal writing, presentation and stakeholder management skills; able to handle several opportunities at once
