Senior Project Engineer – Transformer

About the role

Alfanar Engineering Services is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to lead end‑to‑end transformer projects, covering design, manufacturing, transportation, installation, testing, commissioning and site execution across Saudi Arabia.

Key responsibilities

• Lead cross‑functional teams throughout the transformer project lifecycle.
• Manage project execution, schedules, budgets, risks and customer requirements.
• Oversee transformer erection, testing, commissioning, troubleshooting and on‑site activities.
• Coordinate with engineering, production, supply chain and quality teams to ensure project success.
• Drive continuous improvement, resource optimisation and technical support initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (diploma holders with extensive relevant experience may be considered).
• 8‑10 years of experience in power transformer services, design, erection, testing and commissioning.
• Minimum 5 years of managerial or project leadership experience in the transformer industry.
• Strong knowledge of transformer troubleshooting, failure analysis and root‑cause analysis.
• Experience in transformer project management within a manufacturing environment.
• PMP certification and proficiency in MS Project/MS Office are preferred.
