Senior Registrar – Family Medicine (Pipeline)

About the role

The Senior Registrar in Family Medicine will deliver comprehensive primary care both in‑person and via telemedicine to individuals and families of all ages. The role focuses on preventive, acute and chronic care, population health management and value‑based care to improve patient outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct thorough telehealth and face‑to‑face consultations, including history taking, physical examinations and chronic disease follow‑up.
• Develop and adjust personalized treatment plans, prescribe medications, and coordinate referrals to specialists.
• Implement population health initiatives, preventive programs and clinical pathways for community‑level health improvement.
• Document all patient encounters accurately in electronic health records and ensure compliance with medical regulations and quality standards.
• Participate in quality improvement projects, research activities, clinical audits and regulatory reporting.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of telehealth regulations, best practices and emerging family medicine guidelines.

Required profile

• Residency training in Family Medicine from an accredited program and board certification.
• Registration with the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties as a Family Medicine Senior Registrar.
• Proven experience in a primary‑care or similar senior registrar role.
• Strong clinical judgment, analytical abilities and excellent communication skills.
• Commitment to continuous professional development in family medicine and value‑based care.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems.
• Experience using telemedicine platforms, including video conferencing and secure messaging.
• Ability to integrate and work with Electronic Health Records (EHR) platforms.
• Knowledge of HIPAA‑compliant data handling and patient safety protocols.
• Familiarity with population health management tools and value‑based care models.
