Senior Renewable Energy Engineer – Solar PV & BESS

About the role

We are inviting Expressions of Interest from experienced Senior Renewable Energy Engineers for upcoming solar PV and Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The role provides technical leadership from feasibility studies through detailed design to project delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Lead feasibility studies, concept and detailed design for Solar PV and BESS projects.
• Prepare and review technical specifications, calculations, and engineering deliverables.
• Perform solar energy yield and battery storage performance assessments.
• Coordinate grid‑connection requirements and multidisciplinary design interfaces.
• Review vendor proposals, support procurement, testing, commissioning and project handover.
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to engineers and project teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Power, Renewable Energy or related engineering discipline.
• 10‑12 years of experience in renewable energy projects, especially Solar PV and BESS.
• Strong knowledge of grid‑connection requirements, power systems and electrical design.
• Proven experience delivering utility‑scale renewable energy projects.
• Excellent technical leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Previous experience in Saudi Arabia or the broader Middle East is highly desirable.
