Senior Risk Manager

About the role

KBR is recruiting a Senior Risk Manager for a major mixed-use development project in Riyadh, which aims to become a global landmark. The project involves PMO services, enterprise-level governance, assurance, integration and performance oversight across all projects and programmes. Reporting to the Project Controls Director, the Senior Risk Manager provides portfolio-wide risk management services supporting governance, decision-making and assurance in line with approved risk policies, frameworks and systems.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and administer the approved Risk Management Plan, including procedures, processes and templates.
• Review and supervise the Risk Management Plans and risk registers of the PMCs to ensure alignment with the plan.
• Support the implementation and use of risk management systems, and guide and train PMCs on consistent application of risk practices.
• Facilitate risk meetings, develop risk registers for delivery programmes and client departments, and consolidate PMC registers into programme and departmental ones.
• Maintain dashboards of risks and issues across the portfolio and run monthly risk quality assurance reviews and status updates.
• Carry out quantitative risk analysis of strategic, cost, schedule and advance-warning risks, and develop cost and schedule contingency assessments.
• Support operational risk assessments, prepare risk documentation and reports, and produce Key Risk Indicator (KRI) reporting.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, architecture, construction management, business management or equivalent.
• Minimum 15 years of post-graduation experience.
• PMI-Risk Management Professional, RIMS-Certified Risk Management Professional or equivalent certification.
• Experience managing a team of subordinate Risk Managers.
• Fluency in English, written and spoken.

Required skills

• Sound knowledge of risks on major civil, infrastructure and development projects (urban developments, high-rise buildings, roads, bridges, utilities).
• MS Office and project management software for risk reporting.
• Leadership, strong communication skills, health, safety and environmental awareness, planning and organisation.
