Senior Road Engineer – Mega Civil Projects

About the role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Road Engineer to join our Project and Construction Management team in Riyadh. The position is within the Infrastructure Division and focuses on civil and transportation projects involving roads, highways, bridges, and tunnels in urban environments.

Key responsibilities

• Technical control of all road works and coordination with other discipline specialists and quality‑control personnel.
• Resolve or coordinate design issues with home‑office support.
• Advise on design changes and oversee contractor technical submissions, shop drawings, and material proposals.
• Conduct final review of contractor drawings, schedules, and material submittals to ensure compliance with project design concepts.
• Assess and report on value‑engineering proposals.
• Act as the point of contact between the Road Engineering department and the Technical Manager.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with a focus on road design or equivalent experience.
• Professional affiliation with RICS, IQS, ICES or CIOB.
• Minimum 15 years of project‑management experience on mega construction projects, primarily as a consultant.
• Proven experience on at least one major road project.
• Strong understanding of construction, design and engineering principles, local codes and safety standards.
• Fluent English (Arabic a plus) and excellent communication and report‑writing skills.
• Willingness to work in a multinational environment, transferable Iqama for non‑Saudis, and valid SCE membership.
