Senior Software Engineer - Backend (Hybrid)

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer specialized in backend development to join a global platform on a contract basis. The position is hybrid, allowing flexibility while collaborating with cross‑functional teams to deliver high‑performance, scalable services for millions of users.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable backend systems and APIs.
• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code following industry best practices.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and fellow engineers to define requirements and deliver features.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimise existing services to improve performance and reliability.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to architectural decisions.

Required profile

• Proven senior‑level experience developing backend solutions.
• Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software design patterns.
• Hands‑on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Familiarity with containerisation and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines and using version control systems (Git).
