Senior Specialist - Transportation

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Specialist – Transportation to lead the planning and execution of goods movement for Red Sea Coastal Trading Company. The role ensures efficient, cost‑effective, and compliant transportation across air, ocean and road modes, supporting the company’s ambitious regenerative tourism projects.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee end‑to‑end transportation operations, including scheduling, shipment tracking and carrier coordination.
• Negotiate contracts and rates with carriers to secure competitive pricing and reliable service.
• Analyze freight costs and identify opportunities for cost reduction while maintaining service quality.
• Ensure compliance with transportation regulations, customs requirements and trade laws.
• Provide logistical guidance to internal and external clients on routing, regulatory considerations and service options.
• Develop and implement strategic transportation plans to optimise service levels, minimise transit times and reduce expenses.
• Monitor transportation KPIs, report performance and drive continuous improvement.
• Identify and mitigate risks such as delays, disruptions and compliance issues.
• Leverage transportation management systems to enhance visibility and operational efficiency.
• Mentor and lead transportation team members, fostering a collaborative environment.

Required profile

• Proven senior‑level experience in transportation or logistics management.
• Strong knowledge of air, ocean and trucking transportation modes.
• Demonstrated ability to negotiate with carriers and manage contracts.
• Experience in freight cost analysis and optimisation.
• Solid understanding of regulatory and customs compliance.
• Capability to develop strategic transportation plans and monitor KPIs.
• Leadership experience with team mentorship and development.
