Senior System Administrator

About the role

We are seeking a Senior System Administrator to join Penta Consulting’s technology services team in Saudi Arabia. The role focuses on designing, deploying and supporting enterprise‑grade compute, storage and virtualization platforms for our EMEA customers.

Key responsibilities

• Deploy, configure and maintain Cisco UCS environments (B‑Series, C‑Series, X‑Series) using UCS Manager and Intersight.
• Manage VMware vSphere infrastructure, including vCenter, ESXi hosts, HA/DRS and virtual networking.
• Support HyperFlex clusters and integrated data‑center solutions.
• Administer Windows Server and Linux systems across enterprise workloads.
• Handle storage connectivity – SAN, NAS, Fibre Channel, iSCSI and Cisco MDS fabrics.
• Perform upgrades, patching, routine maintenance and incident resolution.
• Contribute to backup, disaster‑recovery and business‑continuity processes.
• Create technical documentation such as high‑level and low‑level designs, runbooks and as‑built records.
• For senior engineers: lead architecture design, data‑center migrations, capacity planning and automation initiatives while mentoring junior staff.

Required profile

• Proven experience with Cisco UCS, VMware vSphere and enterprise data‑center technologies.
• Strong background in Windows Server and Linux administration.
• Hands‑on knowledge of SAN/NAS storage, Fibre Channel and iSCSI networking.
• Ability to produce clear technical documentation and guide junior engineers.
