Site Planner - Tempered Cooling Water Project

About the role

The Site Planner supports the Tempered Cooling Water Project team, the construction team, contractors, subcontractors and vendor specialists so that all works follow company procedures, specifications, codes and standards, stay on schedule and meet quality and HSE requirements. The position is based in Ras Laffan.

Key responsibilities

• Understand work scope, quantities and logical sequences across engineering, procurement, manufacturing and construction disciplines
• Work with management and project teams on the work breakdown structure for progress measurement, scheduling, cost estimating and project control
• Review subcontract agreements, purchase orders and change and work orders, especially prices and unit rates
• Develop a detailed construction schedule covering tasks, resources, dependencies and risks, and manage it regularly
• Coordinate with the project manager, architects and engineers, and prepare mitigation plans for identified risks
• Support procurement of materials and equipment, supervise workers and contractors, and conduct regular site inspections for safety hazards
• Keep accurate records of progress and costs, and report to senior management

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in a related engineering major is preferred
• Minimum 8 years' experience as a planner in hydrocarbon, petrochemical or power plant EPC fields (gas, refinery, petrochemical)
• Experience in an engineering and construction company in the Middle East is preferred
• 5 years of working experience in Primavera (P6)
