Standardization Instructor Pilot – Helicopter

About the role

The Standardization Instructor Pilot ensures the highest standards of helicopter crew training, operational readiness, and flight safety. Working closely with site leadership, you will deliver both ground and flight instruction across a range of advanced helicopter courses.

Key responsibilities

• Identify aircrew training needs and maintain high competency levels for helicopter pilots.
• Conduct ground and flight instruction, including conversion, NVG, Functional Check Flights (FCF), hoist, and tactical training.
• Perform evaluation and operational flights, and develop comprehensive training plans.
• Review and update regulations, procedures, and training publications to align with aviation standards.
• Advise operational leadership on training requirements, qualifications, and readiness.
• Create and maintain training materials, syllabi, examinations, and related instructional documents.
• Maintain accurate training records for all assigned aircrew.

Required profile

• Qualified Standardization Instructor Pilot from an accredited aviation organization.
• Hold FAA, EASA, ATP, CFII, SOI, or equivalent qualifications.
• Minimum 5,000 total rotary‑wing flight hours (including 2,000 Instructor Pilot hours, 1,000 NVG hours, and 300 hours on the relevant helicopter platform).
• At least 100 flight hours in the past 12 months.
• Military aviation experience preferred.
• Demonstrated experience in training, hoist operations, NVG training, functional check flights, and tactical helicopter operations.
