Statutory Reporting and Compliance Staff

About the role

The Statutory Reporting and Compliance Staff ensures accurate statutory financial reporting, tax compliance, and internal control adherence across assigned entities. This role supports external audits, prepares board‑level presentations, and drives continuous improvement of financial processes.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, review and lodge statutory financial statements in line with local GAAP and IFRS.
• File statutory financial statements and tax returns (CIT, VAT, etc.) on time.
• Support external auditors and tax authorities during statutory audits and tax inspections.
• Maintain tax accounts, forecast payments and coordinate with cash‑flow teams.
• Monitor compliance with corporate accounting policies and internal control frameworks, identify gaps and assist remediation.
• Perform ledger reconciliations from US GAAP to local GAAP and maintain documentation in a central repository.
• Collaborate with accounting, corporate tax, auditors, subsidiaries and other stakeholders to support finance initiatives and business transitions.
• Complete internal compliance checklists, identify cost‑saving opportunities and contribute to organisational goals.

Required profile

• CPA, CA or equivalent professional qualification.
• 8‑10 years post‑qualification experience, including at least 5 years in a Big 4 audit firm with Middle‑East exposure.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS, local GAAP and tax regulations.
• Proven experience handling complex statutory audits, tax compliance and internal controls within a multinational corporation.

Required skills

• Proficiency with ERP systems such as SAP and PeopleSoft.
