System Administrator – Enterprise Infrastructure

About the role

The System Administrator – Enterprise Infrastructure will manage and optimise a hybrid IT environment, covering on‑premises servers, virtualisation platforms, cloud services, identity management, backup, disaster recovery and collaboration tools. The role ensures high availability, performance and compliance for critical business systems.

Key responsibilities

• Administer Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy and other identity services.
• Manage VMware vSphere, Microsoft Hyper‑V and Nutanix virtualisation platforms.
• Support Microsoft Azure infrastructure, hybrid identity, cloud governance, backup and disaster‑recovery solutions.
• Administer Microsoft 365 services including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, Intune, Purview and Copilot.
• Deploy, patch and secure endpoints using SCCM/MECM and enforce security policies.
• Implement MFA, RBAC and PAM controls for identity and access management.
• Maintain enterprise SAN storage, perform capacity planning and monitor performance.
• Monitor infrastructure health, conduct root‑cause analysis and provide L3 technical support.
• Ensure compliance through vulnerability management, SIEM integration and audit support.
• Develop automation scripts with PowerShell and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a System Administrator or Infrastructure Engineer in an enterprise setting.
• Strong expertise in Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP and Group Policy.
• Hands‑on experience with VMware, Hyper‑V and Nutanix platforms.
• Deep knowledge of Microsoft Azure hybrid cloud environments.
• Experience administering Microsoft 365 suite and related services.
• Familiarity with Veeam Backup & Replication and disaster‑recovery planning.
• Solid understanding of SCCM/MECM, endpoint and patch management.
• Knowledge of enterprise storage, monitoring tools (PRTG, Azure Monitor) and infrastructure operations.
• Experience with cybersecurity controls, vulnerability management, SIEM and compliance frameworks.
• Advanced PowerShell scripting, troubleshooting and stakeholder management skills.
