System Maintenance Controller

About the role

The System Maintenance Controller is responsible for operating and maintaining Air Navigation systems, ensuring they function safely and efficiently. This role acts as a liaison between SANS Centers, airline operators, telecommunication service providers, and the MED unit to meet departmental objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and maintain Air Navigation systems to guarantee continuous, safe operation.
• Coordinate system requirements and resolve issues among SANS Centers, airline operators, telecommunication service providers, and the MED unit.
• Monitor system performance against departmental KPIs, budgets, and established policies.
• Document maintenance activities and provide status reports to relevant stakeholders.

Required profile

• Proven experience in operating and maintaining complex technical systems, preferably in the aviation or air navigation sector.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities to address system issues promptly.
• Excellent communication skills for interfacing with multiple internal and external partners.
• Ability to work within defined budgets and adhere to procedural guidelines.
