Team Leader - Elevator Installation

About the role

KONE, a certified Top Employer, is looking for a Team Leader in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, to provide professional service to its customers. The role sits at the heart of KONE's service and ensures quality service, improved equipment safety and performance, and proactive on-site communication with customers and equipment users. You will lead and execute VA and VB repair activities and manage a team of technicians.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure on-site safety by applying good safety practices, proactive risk identification and STOP and GO principles.
• Manage day-to-day on-site communication with the customer and coordinate continuously with the Field Supervisor.
• Manage the equipment installation environment during installation activities.
• Receive, check and store materials, and ensure the security of delivered equipment through correct storage and site handling.
• Carry out installations according to pre-determined method instructions and schedule, following KONE installation methods and AM instructions, and report progress to the Field Supervisor.
• Keep installation tooling safe and in good condition.
• Promote quality feedback forms and contribute to product improvement by feeding back to the supply line.
• React quickly to unexpected events by communicating with the Field Supervisor.
• Apply lean principles to avoid interruptions and promote huddle initiatives.

Required profile

• Diploma in Engineering or ITI/Vocational certification in Electrical, Electronics, Automation or a related field.
• 5-7 years of proven experience in the elevator and escalator industry, including significant involvement in high-rise projects.
• Proficiency in both English and Arabic, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Leadership experience managing and supervising on-site teams.
• Ability to communicate and negotiate with contractors, clients and key stakeholders.
• Attention to detail, with a focus on design accuracy, safety standards and regulatory compliance.
