Team Leader - Printing

About the role

The Printing Team Leader oversees daily operations of the printing workshop, producing high‑quality large‑format graphics, signage and branding materials for events, exhibitions and activations. This hands‑on role coordinates designers, production managers and workshop staff to deliver projects on time and to client specifications.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and allocate daily tasks to a workshop printing team to meet tight event deadlines.
• Interpret technical and CAD drawings, set up and operate large‑format inkjet, UV flatbed printers and vinyl plotters.
• Monitor print runs for colour accuracy, registration and quality, performing on‑the‑spot corrections.
• Conduct daily and periodic equipment maintenance, troubleshoot mechanical issues and coordinate repairs.
• Manage raw‑material inventory, ensure safe handling of inks and chemicals, and maintain a 5S‑compliant workspace.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience leading a printing team in large‑format graphics, signage or event production.
• Proven leadership and communication skills with the ability to work under pressure.
• Basic knowledge of ERP or inventory software and proficiency with Microsoft Office/Excel for reporting.

Required skills

• Operation of large‑format inkjet printers, UV flatbed printers and vinyl plotters (e.g., Durst, HP Latex).
• Equipment maintenance and troubleshooting of print hardware.
• Basic ERP/inventory system usage.
• Microsoft Excel for data tracking.
