Technical Coordinator

About the role

The Project Technical Coordinator acts as the bridge between project management, engineering teams and external stakeholders, ensuring that all technical documentation, design deliverables and construction activities align with project goals, timelines and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Review and interpret technical drawings, grading plans and specifications.
• Coordinate with design consultants, contractors and internal teams to maintain technical alignment.
• Track and manage technical submittals such as shop drawings, design review reports, RFIs and engineering approvals.
• Support document controllers in organizing and distributing technical documents.
• Prepare technical reports, meeting minutes and progress summaries.
• Facilitate coordination meetings between engineering, procurement and construction teams.
• Monitor project workflows, update progress in real time and flag delays.
• Escalate unresolved technical issues to senior management.
• Assist in quality assurance reviews and ensure compliance with safety, regulatory and contractual standards.
• Help prepare project schedules, resource plans and risk registers.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of experience on mega‑projects, preferably within Tier‑1 Project Management/Construction Management firms.
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management or a related field.
• Professional certifications such as PMP or BIM are a plus.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD for reviewing and issuing shop drawings.
• Practical knowledge of Primavera P6 for planning and scheduling.
• Strong ability to interpret technical drawings, grading plans and specifications.
• Experience managing technical submittals, RFIs and design review processes.
