Join our team – your career journey starts here. INTECH Automation & Intelligence is seeking a Trainee Engineer to support process automation solutions across oil & gas, petrochemicals, utilities and renewable energy.
Key responsibilities
- Undergo structured training on automation, control, and instrumentation systems used in industrial projects.
- Assist senior engineers in installation, testing, commissioning, startup, and troubleshooting of automation and control systems.
- Support site surveys, technical assessments, and data collection under guidance.
- Gain hands‑on exposure to PLC, SCADA, DCS, SIS, and Fire & Gas systems through project assignments.
- Develop foundational skills in PLC/SCADA programming, testing, and commissioning under supervision.
- Assist in control system engineering activities and DCS, SIS, Fire & Gas implementation.
- Review and interpret engineering documents such as P&IDs, functional requirement specifications, cause‑and‑effect diagrams, control narratives, and control philosophies.
- Coordinate with senior engineers and support communication with customers, subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams.
- Support engineering teams in monitoring project schedules, site progress, technical deliverables, and assigned tasks.
- Maintain a strong focus on HSE requirements and safe working practices at all project and customer sites.
Required profile
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation & Control, Mechatronics or a related field.
- Fresh graduate or 0–1 year of experience.
- Basic understanding of industrial automation, control systems, PLCs, SCADA, instrumentation and electrical systems.
- Familiarity with engineering drawings such as P&IDs and control diagrams (advantage).
- Basic programming knowledge (advantage).
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills.
- Willingness to learn and develop hands‑on technical expertise.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and adapt to a fast‑paced project environment.
- Willingness to travel and work at customer/project sites when required.
- Commitment to HSE and safe working practices.
