Training and Development Specialist

About the role

The Training and Development Specialist will join MAKKAH WATER SAFA’s Mecca facility to lead the design, delivery and evaluation of learning programs that enhance employee performance and support the company’s commitment to quality and safety. Working on‑site, you will partner with department heads and the manufacturing plant to build a continuous learning culture.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse training needs using performance appraisals and training needs analysis forms.
• Update and maintain the annual training plan and associated budgets.
• Design, coordinate and supervise internal and external training curricula.
• Collaborate with line managers to ensure training aligns with operational goals.
• Track employee enrollment, manage financial settlements and prepare training statistics and reports.
• Evaluate training effectiveness and recommend improvements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related field with at least six years of relevant experience, or a Master’s degree in HR/Public Administration with two years of experience.
• Accredited trainer certification (e.g., Certified Trainer).
• Proven experience planning and delivering structured learning programs.
• Strong knowledge of modern training methodologies, budgeting and scheduling.
• Excellent communication and coordination abilities.

• Proficiency with training management software and standard office applications.
