Typhoon Pilot

About the role

The Typhoon Pilot will join BAE Systems’ operations in Saudi Arabia, delivering high‑performance flight instruction for Royal Saudi Air Force cadets. Reporting to the Flying Wing Commander, the successful candidate will conduct instructional missions on the Eurofighter Typhoon, ensuring training aligns with approved Saudi syllabi.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute fast‑jet instructional flights for cadet training programmes.
• Maintain compliance with Royal Saudi Air Force training syllabi, including all phases up to IPUG.
• Provide on‑aircraft coaching, debriefs, and performance feedback to develop pilot competencies.
• Coordinate with the Flying Wing Commander and ground support teams to ensure safety and mission readiness.
• Participate in continuous improvement of training materials and procedures.

Required profile

• Minimum 1,500 flight hours on fast‑jet aircraft.
• Extensive prior instructional experience on combat aircraft.
• Completed at least one tour at TOCU (Typhoon Operational Conversion Unit).
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to influence and develop Saudi cadets.
• Willingness to relocate to Saudi Arabia and work in a multicultural environment.
