Utilities Technician I – Water Treatment Operations

About the role

Join a leading global food company as a Utilities Technician I, responsible for ensuring continuous and safe operation of the water‑treatment plant that supports production processes. You will work on a range of equipment, from equalization tanks to chlorine dosing systems, maintaining high standards of reliability and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and monitor all WWTP equipment, including equalization, anoxic, drum‑screen, aeration, clarifier, decanter, blower rooms, MMF, water filtration and chlorine systems.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance to keep assets in optimal condition.
• Maintain electrical and mechanical standards, track consumption, and ensure quality control.
• Follow corrective, preventive, scheduled maintenance plans and the Kanban system.
• Conduct daily routine tasks, parameter monitoring, laboratory analyses, and keep accurate reports and housekeeping records.
• Adhere to HSE guidelines, proper chemical handling, PPE usage, and food‑safety HACCP requirements.
• Ensure compliance with GMP, 5S, and the company’s sustainability and ESG policies.

Required profile

• Minimum two‑year technical course in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronic Engineering or basic Environmental/Chemical studies.
• Strong understanding of utilities operation in an industrial setting.
• Commitment to safety, quality, and sustainability standards.
