Valve Technician

About the role

We are seeking a Valve Technician to maintain, overhaul, test, calibrate and repair control, safety and isolation valves and their actuators in an industrial process environment in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance, overhaul, calibration and repair of control valves, safety relief valves (SRV) and isolation valves.
• Calibrate, stroke‑test and leak‑test valves and actuators according to site procedures and manufacturer specifications.
• Maintain and repair pneumatic, hydraulic and electric actuators and associated positioners.
• Read and interpret P&IDs, valve data sheets and technical manuals to support maintenance activities.
• Execute shutdown and turnaround valve work, including removal, inspection and re‑installation.
• Use HART communicators and smart positioner tools for valve diagnostics and record accurate test reports.

Required profile

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Instrumentation or Industrial Maintenance.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in valve maintenance and overhaul within oil & gas, petrochemical or utilities environments.
• Familiarity with control valve brands such as Fisher, Masoneilan or Samson is an advantage.
• Ability to read P&IDs, technical drawings and understand valve sizing principles.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with control valve maintenance, calibration and overhaul.
• Proficiency with pneumatic, hydraulic and electric actuators.
• Diagnostic skills using HART communicators and smart positioner tools.
• Knowledge of PTW, LOTO and industrial safety practices.
