Verification and Validation Engineer

About the role

A Verification and Validation Engineer is needed to contribute to the system verification and validation of a large security system during and after its deployment, including the acceptance process with the customer. The role reports to the Chief Engineer and the Head of Engineering, is based in Riyadh and involves frequent travel to locations in Saudi Arabia and occasional international travel.

Key responsibilities

• Work in a team of V&V engineers and play an active role in verification inside development teams, driving the verification and release of software releases or features
• Support test campaigns for customer acceptance events and help other V&V engineers extend their domain knowledge
• Prepare test documentation (test procedures, problem reports, test reports) during test campaigns and review it
• Perform system-level verification and validation for system and customer releases, including dedicated load, stress and performance test campaigns
• Use tools such as DOORS, Jira and Quality Center for V&V tasks
• Report problems, collect evidence for root-cause analysis, track bugs and retest fixed issues closely with the development team
• Act as a self-sustaining team player and team lead

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Information Technology or a related field
• 2+ years of experience in system verification and validation, familiar with INCOSE and international system engineering standards, or an ISTQB certification
• Fluent written and spoken English; Arabic is desirable
• Desirable: PMP or ISTQB certification, experience on large integration projects, direct customer interface, and experience with networking, storage, server, virtualization and system/network administration systems
• Driving licence
