Water Sports Instructor

About the role

Red Sea Sports & Entertainment (RSSE), a subsidiary of Red Sea Global, is hiring a Water Sports Instructor for a site-based role at its luxury marine tourism asset. The instructor delivers water sports activities safely and professionally, giving guests clear briefings, guidance and supervision while supporting daily operations and equipment readiness.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver water sports instruction safely and professionally, with pre-activity briefings and demonstrations.
• Supervise guests during all water-based activities and monitor weather and environmental conditions.
• Conduct sessions such as kayaking, paddle boarding, snorkeling, wake activities and other approved marine activities.
• Maintain and inspect equipment, report damage or safety concerns, and help with setup, breakdown and inventory records.
• Help organize daily schedules and guest allocations, and support the Water Sports / Dive Center Manager.
• Enforce safety protocols, risk assessments and emergency procedures, and promote environmental awareness.
• Follow company policies and SOPs, keep activity and incident records, and take part in training and new activity development.

Required profile

• Certification in water sports instruction or lifeguarding (e.g. ISA, RYA, ISA Watersports or equivalent).
• Previous experience in water sports instruction, marine tourism or resort operations.
• Valid, up-to-date First Aid and CPR certification.
• Strong understanding of water safety, rescue techniques and risk management.
• Experience in hospitality or guest-facing roles is preferred.

Required skills

• Strong English communication; Arabic is an advantage.
• Guest service mindset, teamwork and ability to work in dynamic outdoor and marine environments.
• Ability to stay calm and effective in emergencies, with good organization and time management.
• Desirable: additional languages, lifeguard or advanced water rescue training, knowledge of marine life and conservation, and experience in luxury resorts.

The role involves working outdoors, including weekends and peak seasons, and requires flexibility for varying marine and weather conditions.
