Welding QC Engineer (Hot Tap Experience) - Aramco Approved

About the role

Eram Talent, a talent acquisition consultancy in the oil and energy sector, is recruiting a Welding QC Engineer with hot tap experience for a project with Aramco. The role ensures the quality and integrity of welding operations, especially hot tapping, while keeping compliance with industry standards and the safety and reliability of the project.

Key responsibilities

• Perform quality control inspections of welding activities related to hot tap operations according to project specifications and standards.
• Review project documents such as welding procedures, inspection plans and quality plans.
• Maintain records of inspections, tests and results in line with Aramco's quality assurance requirements.
• Work with project engineering and construction teams to identify quality issues and propose solutions.
• Take part in pre-welding briefings and communicate quality expectations to all welders.
• Monitor safety standards during welding and conduct regular audits, reporting findings to the QA/QC Manager.
• Help develop and improve welding procedures and quality control protocols, and prepare inspection reports for client and stakeholder approval.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Welding Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• At least 8 years of experience as a Welding QC Engineer, specifically with hot tap operations.
• Valid Aramco approval or certification as a Welding QC Engineer.
• Thorough understanding of welding codes and standards (ASME, API, etc.) and experience in the oil and gas industry.
• Familiarity with Aramco's quality assurance and quality control standards.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work under pressure with multiple priorities.
