Work Permit Receiver – Construction Safety

About the role

We are seeking a Work Permit Receiver to ensure safe execution of construction activities in Saudi Arabia. The role involves reviewing permits, supervising site safety, and enforcing permit conditions throughout the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Review the work permit, scope of work and job safety analysis to identify hazards and applicable rules.
• Conduct joint site inspections with the permit issuer to verify safety controls, gas tests and equipment isolations such as Lockout/Tagout.
• Lead toolbox talks to brief the crew on risks, emergency procedures and safety precautions before work starts.
• Confirm that all personnel wear the correct Personal Protective Equipment and display the permit copy on site.
• Monitor the area continuously, ensuring the team adheres to permit limits (time, place, tasks).
• Exercise stop‑work authority immediately if conditions change or unsafe actions occur, and notify the permit issuer.
• Restore the site after work by securing equipment, removing tools and cleaning the area.
• Close the permit by signing off on completed work and returning the document to the issuer.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years experience as a Work Permit Receiver, preferably with overseas (Gulf/Aramco) exposure.
• Diploma in engineering or related technical field.
• Ability to read and interpret work permits, scopes of work and job safety analyses.
