Work Permit Receiver

About the role

INTECH Automation Intelligence is looking for a Work Permit Receiver to join its Automation team. The role ensures that all industrial work is performed under the correct permit category and complies with safety standards throughout the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Receive, review, and understand work permits before any job starts.
• Verify that permits contain all required approvals, safety measures, and risk assessments.
• Ensure compliance with Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures, isolation plans, and other safety protocols.
• Maintain proper documentation of permits for the entire job duration.
• Conduct pre‑job safety briefings and inspect the worksite for hazards such as H2S.
• Monitor use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and adherence to safety protocols.
• Act as the main liaison between the permit issuer and the work crew, communicating changes or concerns.
• Sign off on completed work and return permits for closure, ensuring proper housekeeping and site restoration.

Required profile

• DAE (Electrical/Instrument) or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum 3 years of industrial experience, preferably in Oil & Gas or petrochemical sectors.
• Familiarity with industrial safety standards and work‑permit systems.
• Experience working in Saudi Arabia or transferable Iqama/driving license is a plus.
• Clear spoken English.
