Working Capital Specialist – Associate (Riyadh)

About the role
Join EY’s newly established Working Capital Management team in the MENA region. As an Associate you will help improve cash collection performance by working directly with clients and internal teams to resolve overdue accounts and ensure timely payments.
Key responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of client accounts and proactively follow up on outstanding receivables.
- Collaborate with client‑side invoice approvers and accounts payable teams to ensure timely processing of payments.
- Track payment arrangements, escalating delays or non‑compliance internally and externally.
- Identify root causes of payment delays, including internal inefficiencies and client‑side approval bottlenecks.
- Log invoice disputes, support resolution efforts and provide feedback for long‑term process improvements.
- Maintain up‑to‑date documentation of client billing and payment workflows to support transparency.
- Track invoice delivery, generate client statements and payment requests, and assist with allocation and reconciliation of payments.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance working capital outcomes across the business.
Required profile
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence internal and external stakeholders.
- Proactive problem‑solving approach focused on outcomes and root‑cause resolution.
- Excellent organizational abilities and capacity to manage multiple priorities.
- Attention to detail when working with financial data and systems.
- Fluency in English; Arabic language skills are a plus.
- Experience in a finance or client‑facing role within a professional services or multinational environment, preferably with knowledge of GCC government invoicing practices.
- Confidence engaging cross‑functional teams and proposing process improvements.
Required skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems.
