Accountant / Bookkeeper

About the role

Eram Talent is hiring a meticulous and reliable Accountant/Bookkeeper to manage accurate financial records and ensure the integrity of all accounting transactions. Reporting to the Operations Manager, the role covers day-to-day bookkeeping and supports reporting, payroll and analysis so that financial management and decision-making are sound. The workplace is on site.

Key responsibilities

• Record and maintain all financial transactions, including purchases, sales, receipts and payments
• Maintain general ledgers, reconcile accounts and prepare bank reconciliations
• Manage the chart of accounts and handle month-end and year-end close
• Process payroll and related statutory deductions and compliance
• Prepare financial statements, management reports and periodic reports for management
• Support budgeting, cashflow monitoring and expense control
• Carry out financial analysis, variance analysis and reporting dashboards
• Assist with audits, tax filings and regulatory compliance

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field; part-qualified certification such as CPA, ACCA or CMA is an advantage
• 3 to 5 years of proven experience as an accountant or bookkeeper
• Excellent attention to detail, organisational skills and ability to manage several tasks and meet deadlines
• Good written and spoken English
• Knowledge of local tax and VAT regulations is a plus

• Accounting software (e.g. QuickBooks, Xero, Zoho)
• Microsoft Office, especially Excel
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
