Cost Controller

About the role

The Cost Controller tracks, analyzes and reports project costs against approved budgets, supporting accurate forecasting and cost control across the project. The workplace is on-site in Al Khobar within the ABICON department.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain project cost control systems and cost breakdown structures, and track committed, actual and forecast costs against the approved budget.
• Prepare periodic cost reports and variance analysis for management, and assist in preparing monthly cost reports for client and management review.
• Support preparation of project cash flow forecasts and support earned value management (EVM) calculations and reporting.
• Coordinate with procurement and site teams to verify cost data accuracy, and track change orders and variations and their cost impact.
• Maintain cost coding and allocation in line with the project WBS, and identify cost risks and trends, escalating them to the Project Control Manager.
• Support close-out cost reconciliation and final account preparation.

Required profile

• +5 years of experience in project cost control on EPC or construction projects.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Finance, Accounting or a related field.
