Accountant (Finance & Accounting)

About the role

Assystem is seeking a qualified Accountant to join its finance team in Saudi Arabia. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, supporting month‑end and year‑end processes, and ensuring compliance with local tax regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and update the general ledger, recording all journal entries, receipts and disbursements.
• Manage vendor invoicing, payment approvals, accounts payable and monitor aging accounts receivable.
• Perform monthly bank, inter‑company and subsidiary ledger reconciliations.
• Prepare and file quarterly/monthly VAT returns in line with ZATCA regulations and ensure e‑invoicing standards are met.
• Assist with month‑end and year‑end closing, including accruals, pre‑payments and depreciation schedules.
• Draft preliminary balance sheets, profit & loss statements and cash‑flow reports for management review.
• Provide documentation and analytical support for internal and external audits.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience as an Accountant, preferably in professional services, engineering consulting or a corporate environment in Saudi Arabia.
• Registration with the Saudi Organization for Chartered and Professional Accountants (SOCPA) required; progress toward CPA, CMA or ACCA is a plus.
