Accountant

About the role

Salla is a fast‑growing e‑commerce platform in the MENA region. The company is expanding its Finance team and seeks an Accountant to support accurate financial operations and reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Record, track and maintain accurate fixed‑asset registers.
• Manage prepaid‑expense accounting, ensuring proper allocation and reconciliation.
• Process daily operational transactions and post accurate journal entries.
• Perform account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
• Support month‑end closing by preparing schedules, entries and supporting documents.
• Maintain financial records in line with accounting policies and procedures.
• Assist in preparing financial reports and analyses as required.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• 0‑3 years of experience in accounting or finance.
• Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial statements.
• Practical knowledge of account reconciliations, journal entries and transaction processing.
• Exposure to fixed assets, prepaid expenses and month‑end closing activities.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.

Required skills

• Microsoft Excel (formulas, data analysis and reporting).
