Accountant

About the role

Al-Watania Poultry, the largest poultry company in the Middle East, is looking for a motivated Accountant to support its Finance and Accounting function. The role involves day‑to‑day accounting, accurate recording of financial transactions, and preparation of reports in compliance with Saudi regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Record, review, and maintain daily accounting transactions and journal entries.
• Manage and reconcile accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• Prepare bank reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
• Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing activities.
• Prepare periodic accounting and financial reports for management.
• Assist in the preparation and review of financial statements.
• Maintain fixed‑asset records and calculate depreciation.
• Prepare documentation for internal and external audits.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, VAT, Zakat, and other regulatory requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.
• Valid membership/registration with the Saudi Organization for Chartered and Professional Accountants (SOCPA).
• 1–3 years of relevant accounting experience (preferred).
• Good knowledge of Saudi accounting principles, standards, and financial regulations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting/ERP systems.
• Experience with SAP or Oracle is preferred.
