Accounting and Annual Tax Manager

About the role

The Accounting and Annual Tax Manager supports the Associate Director – Accounting & Tax in delivering accurate financial reporting, robust procurement review, and high‑quality management reporting. This office‑based position works closely with cross‑functional teams to ensure compliance with IFRS and provide insight for strategic decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee monthly, quarterly and annual financial close processes, ensuring accuracy, completeness and IFRS compliance.
• Prepare and review management reporting packs, Board packs, Audit Committee materials and Monthly Business Review reports.
• Develop flash reporting for senior management with forward‑looking analysis.
• Review and approve purchase orders, monitor budget versus actual spend, and support cost‑control initiatives.
• Conduct detailed financial analysis to support business decisions and performance improvement.
• Strengthen internal controls around reporting and transaction processing, and support audit documentation.
• Identify and implement process improvements and automation opportunities in reporting workflows.

Required profile

• 4–8 years of experience in accounting, financial reporting or audit, preferably in a Big 4 or large corporate environment.
• Experience preparing board‑level reports and management reporting packs.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; professional qualification (CA, CPA, ACCA) preferred.
• High attention to detail, strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities, and capacity to work under tight deadlines.
