Accounting Manager

About the role

Saudi Gold Refinery is seeking an Accounting Manager in Riyadh to lead the financial accounting function, ensure accurate reporting, regulatory compliance, and robust internal controls over inventory and operations.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly and annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS and present them to the CEO.
• Reconcile ledger balances with physical vault inventories on a weekly basis.
• Ensure timely filing of VAT returns and withholding tax declarations per ZATCA regulations.
• Act as primary liaison for external auditors and facilitate annual and interim audits.
• Supervise the accounting team, assign tasks, review work and provide technical guidance.
• Design, implement and monitor internal control procedures to protect assets.
• Analyze operational costs, identify variances and support budgeting and forecasting.
• Manage bank reconciliations and support cash‑flow forecasting.
• Oversee integration of financial data from operational systems into the ERP.
• Develop and update accounting policies and procedures in line with regulatory changes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.

Required skills

• International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
• Saudi tax regulations, including VAT and withholding tax.
• Experience with ERP systems and data integration.
• Strong internal control design and monitoring.
• Bank reconciliation and cash‑flow forecasting.
• Cost analysis and budgeting support.
