External Audit Manager

About the role

We are seeking an External Audit Manager to oversee a portfolio of complex, high‑risk audit engagements, ensuring quality, efficiency, and profitability. The role acts as a key advisor to the Engagement Partner on technical accounting, auditing and risk matters while leading and developing audit teams.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee complex, high‑risk audit engagements and ensure delivery excellence.
• Advise the Engagement Partner on technical accounting, auditing and risk issues.
• Lead, mentor and develop audit teams across multiple engagements.
• Serve as trusted advisor to senior client stakeholders, including CFOs and Audit Committees.
• Direct engagement economics – budgeting, resourcing, billing and profitability.
• Lead quality‑control reviews and ensure compliance with firm methodology, ISA and regulatory requirements.
• Drive business development, lead proposals and expand existing client relationships.
• Partner with the Partner group on strategic initiatives, practice growth and talent strategy.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 + years of external audit experience, including 2‑3 years at manager level.
• Professional certification: CPA, SOCPA or ACCA (required).
• Deep expertise in IFRS, ISA and Saudi regulatory frameworks (SOCPA).
• Proven track record managing complex client portfolios and multidisciplinary teams.
• Excellent English and good Arabic language skills.
