Accounts Payable Accountant

About the role

Jisr is looking for an Accounts Payable Accountant to manage daily accounting activities with a primary focus on accounts payable. You will ensure invoices, vendor balances, and payments are recorded accurately and on time while supporting month‑end and year‑end closing processes.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate AP records, vendor balances, and related general‑ledger accounts.
• Prepare and post AP journal entries, accruals, and adjustments.
• Reconcile vendor, bank, and intercompany accounts each month.
• Support monthly, quarterly, and annual closing, especially AP reconciliations and accruals.
• Prepare and submit VAT filings in line with ZATCA guidelines.
• Monitor AP aging, outstanding vendor balances, and payments; resolve issues with internal teams.
• Maintain fixed‑asset records, ensuring proper capitalization and depreciation.
• Assist external audits and internal reviews by providing AP documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 4–5 years of accounting experience with strong AP focus, preferably in a SaaS or tech environment.
• Good understanding of accruals, vendor reconciliations, deferred revenue, and subscription billing.
• Hands‑on experience with VAT returns and withholding tax.

Required skills

• Experience with ERP systems, preferably NetSuite.
• Advanced Excel skills, including PivotTables, lookups, and reconciliations.
• Proficiency in preparing VAT filings and handling withholding tax.
