Aircraft & UAV Design Engineer

About the role

AZM is building next‑generation autonomous systems and is looking for an Aircraft & UAV Design Engineer to join its founding aerospace team in Riyadh. You will be responsible for taking concepts from a blank sheet to a testable prototype, shaping the architecture of new aircraft and UAV platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Conceptual design of fixed‑wing, VTOL and hybrid aircraft/UAV configurations.
• 3D CAD modelling and detailed mechanical design.
• Aerodynamic and performance analysis, including mass, geometry and configuration trade studies.
• Prototype development, iterative design and integration with propulsion, avionics and control systems.
• Preparation of engineering documentation and participation in design reviews.
• Support for ground‑test and flight‑test activities.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience with real aircraft, UAV, VTOL, eVTOL or experimental aerospace prototypes.
• Background in aerospace, aeronautical or mechanical engineering.
• Ability to work across multiple engineering disciplines rather than within a narrow silo.
