Analyzer Engineer – Process Optimization

About the role

The Analyzer Engineer will lead the specification, commissioning and life‑cycle management of analytical equipment for efficiency improvement and obsolescence mitigation projects across multiple operating units. The role provides technical expertise to Analyzer O&M teams and supports both small capital/expense projects and larger engineering initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Specify, commission and optimize new analyzers for capital and expense projects.
• Apply reliability tools such as Worst Actor Program, FMEA, RBI, RBM, RCM and Reliability Roadmap to improve asset availability and reduce costs.
• Develop and maintain Critical Equipment lists and Critical Spares inventories, monitoring store systems for site‑wide needs.
• Participate in incident investigations, root‑cause analysis and implementation of corrective actions.
• Support plant Management of Change (MOC), quality assurance/quality control activities (FAT, SAT, loop checks) and project close‑out documentation.
• Provide technical leadership to Analyzer, Electrical and Maintenance groups and advise on major shutdowns, construction or alteration projects.

Required profile

• Proven experience in analyzer engineering or related process instrumentation.
• Strong understanding of reliability engineering methodologies and life‑cycle management.
• Ability to work across multidisciplinary teams and communicate technical findings effectively.
