Analyzer Technician

About the role

Responsible for the maintenance, troubleshooting, and calibration of process analyzers and analytical instruments in industrial environments. Ensures continuous, accurate monitoring of product quality and process parameters through reliable online and in-line analyzer operation.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting, and calibration of process analyzers including gas chromatographs (GC), pH meters, oxygen analyzers, CO2 analyzers, moisture analyzers, and related online instrumentation.
• Maintain and validate sample systems, sample conditioning systems, and sample transport lines.
• Ensure continuous and accurate analytical data is available to operations and process teams.
• Manage calibration gas cylinders, standards, and validation procedures for each analyzer type.
• Support process optimization activities by providing reliable and timely analytical measurements.
• Maintain detailed maintenance logs, calibration records, and fault reports for all analyzer assets.
• Coordinate with operations, laboratory, and engineering teams on analyzer performance and quality concerns.
• Ensure all activities comply with SIL requirements, hazardous area regulations, and site HSE standards.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Instrumentation, Chemical Engineering, Analytical Chemistry, or Electronics.
• Minimum 2 years of experience maintaining process analyzers in oil and gas, refinery, chemical, or utilities environments.
• Knowledge of hazardous area practices, safety regulations, and PTW systems.
• Experience with gas chromatographs, pH analyzers, and online analytical systems is preferred.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with gas chromatography, pH, oxygen, moisture, and other process analyzers.
• Understanding of sample system design and maintenance.
• Knowledge of calibration gas handling and certification.
• Familiarity with SIL classification requirements for safety‑critical analyzers.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical problem‑solving skills.
