Analyzer Technician Trainee – Process Analyzer Maintenance

About the role

The Analyzer Technician Trainee will support the maintenance of process analyzers, gas detectors and analyzer shelters at a refinery in Yanbu. Working under Samref procedures, the trainee will gain hands‑on experience in testing, calibration, fault diagnosis, repairs and preventive maintenance of critical instrumentation.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine checks on analyzers and shelters, including carrier cylinder changes, sample flushing, and leak checks.
• Carry out preventive maintenance, calibration and troubleshooting of Ametek 880‑NSL, ADA 900 H2S/SO2 tail‑gas, Ametek ASOMA 682T‑HP, Thermo Scientific SOLA II, Metorex C100 sulfur analyzers, and Siemens AA MAXUM GC systems.
• Assist senior technicians on complex repairs and participate in shutdowns, emergencies and project activities.
• Follow Samref safety, environmental and operational policies, using SHE tools such as JLA, JSD and CARE.
• Maintain site housekeeping and report progress, issues and status to the group leader.

Required profile

• Associate degree or diploma in Process Operation & Chemical Analysis Technology or equivalent.
• Fresh graduate or less than 2 years of related experience.
• Saudi nationality.
• Willingness to work on‑site in a refinery environment.
