Application Support Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a proactive, customer‑focused Application Support Engineer to ensure the availability and performance of our business‑critical enterprise applications. You will work closely with development, infrastructure and network teams to resolve incidents, support deployments and maintain service level agreements.

Key responsibilities

• Provide Level 2/Level 3 support for production and non‑production environments, monitoring application health and performance.
• Investigate, troubleshoot and resolve incidents and service requests within agreed SLAs.
• Perform root‑cause analysis for recurring issues and implement preventive measures.
• Coordinate with development, database, infrastructure and network teams to resolve complex technical problems.
• Support application deployments, upgrades, patches and configuration changes, including post‑deployment validation.
• Monitor logs, identify performance bottlenecks and manage user access in line with security policies.
• Document incidents, known errors, operational procedures and support runbooks.
• Participate in disaster‑recovery testing and provide on‑call after‑hours production support.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field.
• ITIL Foundation certification is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with a customer‑service mindset.

Required skills

• Experience with cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure or AWS.
• Familiarity with DevOps tools, CI/CD pipelines and version‑control systems (Git, Azure DevOps, Jenkins).
• Knowledge of monitoring tools like Splunk, Dynatrace, AppDynamics, Grafana or Kibana.
